Hello there! I’m Cynthia Uribe

I was born and raised in Chicago, I am a Mexican American Illustrator. I found my passion for Illustration at a very early age. Through my love of manga, Anime, DC Comics, and other media I found my passion for creating art. I became increasingly inspired by these art forms and decided to pursue a career in Illustration. During this critical moment in my life, I found the Illustration program at Columbia College Chicago.

During my studies at Columbia College Chicago I took many courses that helped me explore and partake in different kinds of illustration markets and helped me expand my portfolio. One of my main inspirations is the creator of the manga series "Tokyo Ghoul", Ishida Sui. I have a deep love for cats and dogs, so much so I own a dog and two cats (Here are some pictures of them below). I also adore kpop, and it would be a dream come true to illustrate something for a group!

As an Illustrator I adapt, and grow in skill every day, with every Illustration I create. My art style is very versatile. Which means I don’t force myself in a single set art style. The way I create changes every day and that allows me to explore new tools to further improve my Illustrations.
